As the Queensland summer heats up, so too does the state’s off-plan development market.
South East Queensland’s property market has shown extreme resilience during 2020 due to a surge in interstate migrant numbers, an increase in first home buyer activity and low interest rates.
The rising demand has resulted in rising property values in 2020 and rental vacancies have plummeted to critical levels in several suburbs.
DisplaySweet has also seen demand for its proptech solutions increase year-on-year as Queensland sales and marketing teams look to stand out among the crowd of new projects coming to market.
Property technology is being installed in five new Gold Coast projects in December alone.
Boutique family-owned business Andrews Projects is launching Beach House Broadbeach and Dune Main Beach, two luxury beachside apartment buildings on the Gold Coast in 2021.
Melbourne-based Bensons Property Group will integrate DisplaySweet technology into its sales and marketing suite for its luxurious 41-level Surfers Paradise project, Chevron One Residences.
Leveraging off new market opportunities Bensons have designed a dedicated Melbourne sales gallery and will use the DisplaySweet app to sell to interstate buyers about the centrally-located project, building, floor plans, and 2000sqm of resort-like amenity.
International hospitality group developer sbe and joint venture partner Vitale Projects, will launch The Mondrian Gold Coast in December 2020. The dual tower project will incorporate a luxury 209-room hotel and collection of private residences on a prime site at Burleigh Heads.
Mirvac will also use DisplaySweet technology in the sales suite of its DA-approved Waterfront Sky building, the next stage of its Waterfront Newstead project in Brisbane. Mirvac has already delivered more than $65 million in new cyclepaths, parklands and community facilities for the landmark project. Waterfront Sky is a two-stage project, 2km from Brisbane’s CBD, expected to launch in early 2021.
Through an immersive sales gallery experience, interested buyers will be able to get a better understanding of their investment, DisplaySweet co-CEO John Paige says.
“Figures show by enhancing the buyer experience there is an increase in conversion rates. Property technology is becoming a mainstream sales tool that helps deliver an incredible consumer experience and adds value to the sales journey for better results,” he said.
“We’re looking forward to working with more Queensland developers in 2021, to help them showcase their projects and lifestyle to a new generation of buyers looking to buy and invest in the Sunshine State.”
